This blog is for us 20somethings who are trying to figure out how to get our lives together.
Disclaimer: Though Twenty & To is not exclusively written for women, it is written by a woman and thus is likely more applicable to the fairer sex. But no worries men, there is surely something for you here. (the smart man will read just to learn a little bit more about the female perspective).
Twenty & To is divided into four sections:
- Financial Independence
- Personal Health
- Wisdom & Wit
- Spiritual Living
2.Blog background.
I'm 23 which means I still have seven years of my twenties to go. That's a lot considering the 20s are arguably the most challenging decade in anyone's life.
To prove my point, here are a few of the major life changes that are more likely to happen in your 20s than any other decade:
- You will graduate from college.
- You will move to a new city.
- You will start your career.
- You will become financially independent.
- You will be broke.
- You will be in a serious relationship.
- You might even marry the aforementioned person.
- You will pop out a child (or two)!
- You will hate your job.
- You will love your job.
- You will spend some time traveling.
- You will get a dog/cat/fish/plant.
- You will rent your first apartment.
- You will buy your first house.
- You will attempt to pay back your student loans.
- You will make friends without the help of your educational system.
- You will lose friendships.
- You will lose your grandparents.
- You will find yourself.
- You will buy a car.
- You will go to what seems like an impossible number of weddings.
- You will finally loose that "baby fat"... until you have a baby of your own. Damn.
See what I'm saying? That's a lot of stuff to go through, and with no manual. Of all the classes you actually needed to take in college "Surviving Your Twenties 101" would have been the most helpful.
And yet most of us enter our 20s with little more than a piece of paper that says we learned something (a diploma), a mountain of debt, a bad economy, and absolutely no clue what we want to do with rest of our lives.

Twenty & To stands for "Twenty & Together". The purpose of this blog is to help you get your act together in your twenties so that you can be, as Jennifer Garner says in 13 Going on 30, "thirty, flirty, and thriving". Because let's be honest 20 feels a lot more like "twenty, broke, and a hot mess".
Now I am no guru, nor have I at 23 figured out the key to not mindlessly wandering through my twenties. But, I am trying my best to do so. And it is my hope that by sharing what I've learned along the way I can help other 20somethings put their lives together.
So join me in my journey to become a "classy, sassy, woman of character in a 21st century society".
Cheers to not screwing up too badly!
Thanks for stopping by,
Ashley
